Personal message from Bonny Clark, 2020 Exchange Club VM Advocate of the Year

Dear friends in Exchange:

When I joined Exchange Club 20 years ago, little did I know, or believe, that I could really make a difference in the life or lives of those in need within my own community. I have learned quickly! Not only can “I” make a difference, but I can influence those around me to do the same.

Last year at National Exchange Club Convention, I was honored to be named Exchangite of the Year. Now, Ken Leslie and friends at Veterans Matter have named me Veterans Matter National Advocate of the Year. My “shoes” are getting bigger and I have a lot to do to fill them!

I have planned and held numerous events, campaigned for the protection and safety of children and lifted up the needs of homeless veterans, all in the name of Exchange. Now, another opportunity has opened a door for me to work even harder on behalf of our Veterans and those who are deeply in need of a home, a shelter, a place to offer safety and hope for tomorrow.

There are so many caring Exchangites in our world and I want to call upon you to help a little or a lot with this campaign: Cardboard to Headboard. “We” can provide a home for those who gave so much to defend our freedom. It’s time for us to give back. Donate by yourself or engage the support of your Club. Let’s make a difference!

To help us get to our goal even faster, First Nation Group has generously offered to “match’ our donations, up to $200,000! My first goal was $10,000. Then, I raised it to $25,000. Now, I am working toward raising $100,000 and to capture the matching funds offer of First Nation Group.
