674 Veterans housed in 2021 so far | Many more still need help
With every passing month, the number of homeless Veterans falls. This happens because of YOU and your never-ending compassion for individuals who have fought for our American way of life. It’s also because of your support of the Veterans Matter’s mission: to house as many homeless Veterans as fast as we can.
Together we reduce the number of homeless Veterans and Veteran families living on the streets across the 50 U.S. states. Last year, during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic and before the vaccines, we found homes for 751 Veterans and Veterans’ children.
This year we already have moved 674 Veterans from cardboard to headboard, with 134 Veterans housed in June alone. That’s the highest number of veterans we have helped house in one month since Veterans Matter began its work.
Veterans have risked their lives for the good of us all, and homelessness puts them at further risk for untreated health problems, hunger, or even dying from suicide after losing hope. We give them shelter and hope to move ahead and live full lives.
Your commitment to this cause makes all the difference. Let’s keep the momentum going in July and surpass the June numbers.
